French Fries and Sausage Casserole

This tasty and filling casserole is a great choice for breakfast or brunch. Mixing sausage, potatoes, and eggs makes a tasty and satisfying dish.

Here’s a simple recipe for French Fries and Sausage Casserole:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) sausage (e.g., Italian or breakfast sausage), sliced or crumbled
  • 1 bag (about 20 oz) frozen French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (optional for added creaminess)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Cook the Sausage:
  • In a skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat and drain excess fat.
  1. Prepare the Onion and Garlic:
  • In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Combine with the cooked sausage.
