🧈 Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk, room temperature
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
🔪 Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan or two 9-inch round pans.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (about 4-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with flour. Do this in 3 parts.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into prepared pan(s) and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes (round pans) or 40–45 minutes (9×13 pan), or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
