Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) milk or cream
- 1 cup (150g) cooked spinach, chopped
- ½ cup (75g) diced ham (or cooked chicken, turkey, or mushrooms for a vegetarian option)
- ½ cup (50g) green onions, chopped
- 1 cup (120g) shredded cheese (cheddar, gruyère, or mozzarella)
- 1 medium zucchini, diced (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 store-bought or homemade quiche crust (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare the crust (if using): Roll out the dough and place it in a greased quiche or tart pan.
- Whisk eggs and milk in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Assemble the quiche: Spread the sautéed veggies and ham evenly in the crust (or directly in a greased pan if making a crustless quiche). Pour the egg mixture over them and sprinkle with cheese.
- Sauté the veggies: In a pan, lightly cook spinach, zucchini, and green onions with a little oil until softened.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
